The story follows Hal, a half araluen ( the country where Ranger’s Apprentice takes place) half skandian who lost his father at a young age and became friends with the drunk champion Thorn, who lost his hand and Stig, a outcasted boy due to his Father’s desertion. They have a heavy focus on Ships and the Sea, undergoing a coming of age called the brotherband where a group of usually 10 boys operate a ship and maintain living, working and assessments, with the winner guarding their greatest treasure, the Andomal! The Brotherband Storyline!īrotherband is set in the world of Flanagans original book series, Ranger’s apprentice, and takes place in Skandia, a northern Viking like country who, until signing a peace treaty, raided the ocean towns across the continent.
